Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) established its undergraduate programs more than 50 years ago. VMU is the first university in Viet Nam to pioneer education in the fields of maritime studies, shipbuilding, and the marine economy.
Currently, VMU offers 55 majors at the undergraduate level. These programs range from engineering and technology to economics, financial management, foreign languages, and law, with the aim of cultivating high-quality human resources for the Northern coastal region and the nation as a whole. The key fields of study at VMU include maritime science, shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, construction, information technology, environmental science, economics, management, and logistics.
These programs are delivered in both Vietnamese and English, serving both domestic and international students through a modern educational approach. By meeting rigorous academic standards, the curriculum equips students with advanced knowledge and skills, making them capable of competing within the Asia-Pacific workforce.
