Four study programs of Vietnam Maritime University are assessed and met the quality requirements of ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA).

To achieve its mission in education, research, and community services, Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) has been striving to improve and enhance the quality of activities to meet regional and international quality standards in higher education. Among these efforts are the two quality assessments for 8 study programs in 2021 (including 04 training programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training, 04 training programs according to AUN-QA international standards)

Site Visit to assess 04 programs of Vietnam Maritime University

After careful preparation as agreed at the preliminary site visit, on June 18-22nd, 2021, VNU-CEA in collaboration with Vietnam Maritime University organized the Actual Site Visit to assess the quality of the above 04 study programs, namely Information Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Automation Engineering and Environmental Engineering. 

Kick-off meeting of the project on Marine Coastal and Delta Sustainability for Southeast Asia (MARE).

MARE organized a kick-off meeting marked as one of the beginning activities of the Marine Coastal and Delta Sustainability for Southeast Asia (MARE) project. This meeting with involvement of 11 institutional members took place from 18 to 20 February, 2020 in the Center for Multimedia in Higher Education (ZMML), University of Bremen, Germany. The specific objectives of the meeting are as follows:

The international workshop “Enhancing competence of Japan-Mekong Regional Logistics Training Center in Viet Nam – stage 2” hosted by VIMARU.

From February 5 to 6, Vietnam Maritime University hosted the international workshop “Enhancing competence of Japan-Mekong Regional Logistics Training Center in Viet Nam – stage 2” which was chaired by Assoc. Prof., Dr. Pham Xuan Duong – President.

Opening the 2nd pilot training and TOT course for CLMV under the theme of the project on Enhancing Competence of Japan-Mekong Regional Logistics Training Center in Vietnam – The 2nd Stage.

On December 16th, 2019, Japan – Mekong Regional Logistics Training Center in Vietnam opened the second pilot training and TOT course for CLMV (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam) under the theme of the project on Enhancing Competence of Japan-Mekong Regional Logistics Training Center in Vietnam – The 2nd Stage. The training course has been taking place from December 16 to December 20, 2019.

Vietnam Maritime University hosted the 18th Asia Maritime and Fisheries Universities Forum- AMFUF 2019.

From November 18 to 20, Vietnam Maritime University hosted the 18th Asia Maritime and Fisheries Universities Forum - AMFUF 2019 with a focus on promoting globalization and cooperation in maritime training. The AMFUF currently consists of 27 member organizations from nine Asian countries
