Meeting & friendly exchange with Laotian and Cambodian students on the occasion of traditional new year holidays: Bunpimay and Chol Chnam Thmay 2014

In the morning of April 13th, The Vietnam - Lao Friendship Association, in cooperation with Hai Phong University and Vietnam Maritime University to organize a meeting and friendly exchange with Laotian and Cambodian students on the occasion of traditional new year holidays: Bunpimay and Chol Chnam Thmay 2014, for those who are currently studying in the city.

President Luong Cong Nho Holds Talks with Secretary of State H.E. Mr. Sokhom Pheakavanmony, Cambodian Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT)

On October 13th, 2013, Prof. Dr. Luong Cong Nho, President of Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) received the delegation of Cambodian Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) led by H.E. Mr. Sokhom Pheakavanmony, the Secretary of State. The meeting discussed promoting in-depth development of education and training cooperation between VMU and MPWT.

Pham Xuan Duong, PhD - Vice president welcomed and worked with leaders of Tasmania University (Australia)

On September 12th, 2013, Tasmania University delegation, led by Professor Dev Ranmuthugala, Director of the National Centre for Ports and Shipping, AMC/Utas has visited and worked with Vietnam Maritime University. Along with the delegation were leaders of the International Relations Department; Institute of International Education.

Prof., Dr. Luong Cong Nho- President of VIMARU worked with Hugh Borrowman- Australian Ambassador to Vietnam.

On January 30, 2013, Prof., Dr. Luong Cong Nho- President of VIMARU worked with Hugh Borrowman- Australian Ambassador to Vietnam. The meeting was attended by Dr. Pham Xuan Duong- Deputy Rector, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Son- Head of International Relations, International Leadership Training Institute.

Welcome and working with Mr. Yasumitsu Kida, Second Secretary, Economic Department, Embassy of Japan in Vietnam.

On 01/24/2013, at Office briefings, Dr. Pham Xuan Duong - Vice Rector welcomed and worked with Mr. Yasumitsu Kida, Second Secretary, Economic Department, Embassy of Japan in Vietnam about the implementation of the project items "Establishment of Logistics Training Center in Greater Mekong Sub-region in Vietnam". At the meeting, the two sides exchanged information on the situation and progress of project items, the planning and implementation of plans for subsequent period.

The ceremony of signing cooperation agreement between the Maritime University and the Corporation of Shell Marine Products (Singapore).

January 23, 2013, the ceremony of signing cooperation agreement between Shell Marine Product's corporations (SMP) and Vietnam Maritime University (VIMARU) took place in the Council Meeting Room, Hall A1, VIMARU. 

The signing of established TOEIC international testing center in Hai Phong area.

In the morning of September 12, 2012,  VIMARU in collaboration with IIG Vietnam (the only U.S. Educational Testing Service to deploy TOEIC program in Vietnam) held  "The signing of established international TOEIC testing center in Hai Phongarea, workshops and implementation of English in the integration of tools and solutions. "

VietnamMaritime University (VIMARU) attended the 11th Conference of Asia Maritimeand Fisheries Universities Forum (AMFUF).

From 31/10 to 11/03/2012, the 11thAsiaMaritime and Fisheries University Forum (11th AMFUF) was held at Shanghai Ocean University inLingang, Shanghai, China. The 11th AMFUF that was held by Korea Maritime University (KMU) with the hosted unit, the Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU), had the subject "Exchange, Cooperation and Mutual interests ".
As an official member of AMFUF, VIMARU had a delegationattend the 11th AMFUF:
