On April 8, 2026, Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) welcomed and held a working session with the Delegation from NYK Ship Management Pte. Ltd., a member of NYK Group, one of the world’s leading maritime transport corporations.

At the meeting, both sides discussed strengthening cooperation in training high-quality maritime human resources, with a focus on preparing seafarers to operate dual-fuel vessels in response to the global transition toward green and sustainable shipping.
VMU reaffirmed its commitment to aligning training programs with international standards, while continuously improving training quality to meet the evolving demands of the global shipping industry.
NYK Ship management expressed its appreciation for the warm reception and highlighted the increasing demand for well-trained seafarers capable of operating modern vessels. Following the meeting, the Delegation visited key training and simulation facilities of the University.
