On the morning of April 7, 2026, Vietnam Maritime University, in coordination with the Hai Phong Department of Health and the Hai Phong Red Cross Society, organized a launching ceremony in observance of the National Health Day, the World Health Day, and the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, reaffirming its commitment to promoting community health awareness and social responsibility among staff and students.

The event was attended by University leaders, representatives of departments and units, along with a large number of students. It emphasized the importance of both physical and mental well-being, encouraging regular exercise, disease prevention, and proactive healthcare within the academic community.

In his remarks, the University’s President highlighted the importance of maintaining good health as a foundation for effective learning, teaching, and long-term professional development. The activity also aimed to raise awareness of preventive healthcare, encourage healthy lifestyles, and foster a spirit of sharing within the academic community.

A key highlight of the event was the voluntary blood donation campaign, which attracted enthusiastic participation from students, lecturers, and staff. The campaign demonstrated the strong sense of community engagement at Vietnam Maritime University, as each unit of donated blood contributes directly to saving lives and supporting the healthcare system.
