On 12 March 2026, Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) welcomed and held a meeting with the Delegation from JETRO Singapore and representatives from AMEV Consulting and Investment Co., Ltd.
The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Vice President of VMU, with the representatives from the relevant departments and faculties.

The two sides discussed the development of the shipbuilding sector in Vietnam, training programs, and potential areas of cooperation, particularly internship and career opportunities for VMU students in Japan.
As part of the meeting, the Delegation visited the Center for Training and Improvement of Ship Design (VMSK) to learn more about VMU's training facilities and activities in ship design and shipbuilding.
