Vietnam Maritime University welcomed the Delegation from Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy

On the morning of April 23, Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) warmly welcomed and held a working session with a delegation from Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy (Bulgaria). The meeting took place in an open and cooperative atmosphere, aiming to strengthen the partnership between the two reputable maritime institutions.

During the meeting, both sides introduced their training capacity, research strengths, and development orientations. VMU highlighted the strengths in providing high-quality human resources for the maritime and logistics sectors, supported by modern facilities, experienced faculty, and an expanding international network. Meanwhile, the Bulgarian partner presented the key focus areas, including marine technologies, maritime safety and security, autonomous shipping, renewable energy sources etc. - fields with strong potential for future collaboration.

The two sides also discussed in detail the implementation of academic exchange programs under the Erasmus+ program, considering them valuable opportunities to enhance professional capacity, promote academic exchange, and foster cultural understanding among lecturers and students. In addition, both sides explored possibilities for future joint research projects, contributing to improving the quality of education and research in the maritime sector.

Following the meeting, the Delegation visited several key training facilities of VMU and expressed their appreciation for the University’s modern and professional learning environment.
