TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025

The Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology held the opening ceremony of TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025, themed “Unlimited creativity - Hai Phong reaching out to the world” at the Hai Phong City Convention and Performance Center from October 9 to 11.

This year, TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025 featured more than 1,000 technology and innovation products and welcomed over 3,000 delegates. Additionally, the exhibition area included 125 physical booths, 125 online booths on the hatex.vn technology trading platform, and 50 OCOP booths showcasing signature products from Hai Phong and other localities.

Online activities attracted more than 10,000 visits through digital platforms such as the virtual exhibition techfesthaiphong.vn, social media, and YouTube.

Overview of TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025

Within the framework of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Vice President of Vietnam Maritime University, delivered a presentation titled “Training and developing human resources in marine science and technology for the development of Hai Phong’s seaward economy”.

He affirmed: “Developing high-quality human resources in marine science and technology is a prerequisite for Hai Phong City to become a high-tech and sustainable seaward economic center in the Northern region, thereby contributing to the implementation of Vietnam’s Strategy for Sustainable Seaward Economic Development by 2030, with a vision toward 2045.”

To realize this goal, Vietnam Maritime University has been reforming its training programs to meet international standards. The University aims to improve education and research quality in line with Decision No. 1901/QĐ-TTg dated September 5, 2025, of the Prime Minister, contributing to the sustainable development of the seaward economy.

At TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025, Vietnam Maritime University also showcased numerous research projects by its lecturers and students. These projects illustrated creativity and practical application of science and technology. They also reflected the University’s focus on research serving the City’s development needs.
