Administrators of Vietnam Maritime University (VIMARU) and Director Board of VINIC Company joined the ceremony of “Handing over and naming the new ship NSU KEYSTONE”

On April 12, 2013 the ceremony of transferring and naming the new ship NSU KEYSTONE, which belongs to NS United Kaiun Kaisha Company (NSU), was held in IMABARI shipbuilding factory in the south of Japan. This event happened with the presence of Ass. Prof.  Luong Cong Nho, VIMARU President, Dr. Pham Xuan Duong, VIMARU Vice - president as well as director of VINIC Company,  and the Chairman of NSU Mr. Toru Obata.

NSU KEYSTONE was designed with 207.000DWT capacity, 300m length, 500m width, 19,620kW  maximum engine power 19,620kW, 15.3 nautical mile/hour velocity and certificated to operate in global marine line by Japan Register Department. The ship was operated by a Japanese captain, a chief engineer, management officers along with Vietnamese naval officers and sailors from VINIC Company.

On this occasion, Mr. Toru Obata appreciated the role of VINIC Company and VIMARU Administrators in managing, training and providing the crew, who has good qualifications, practical skills, professional manner, and has fulfilled their tasks well on huge ships. He also claimed that NSU would continue having their ships operated by VINIC Company.
In the end, in  Japanese tradition, Ass. Prof. Luong Cong Nho and Mr. Toru Obata opened a “Sake bottle” together to
celebrate the first voyage of NSU KEYSTONE.
