From July 25th to 27th, 2025, Vietnam Maritime University (VMU), in collaboration with Nha Trang University and the Department of Science and Technology of Khanh Hoa Province, co-organized the 2nd International Conference on “Marine Sustainable Development and Innovation - MSDI 2025”.

MSDI fosters the international exchange of cutting-edge knowledge and achievements in marine sciences and innovations. By bringing together over 200 leading academic scientists, researchers, and scholars, MSDI provides a platform for sharing insights and research findings across all aspects of marine sciences and technologies. It also serves as a premier interdisciplinary venue for researchers to present and discuss the latest innovations, trends, challenges, and solutions in the marine science field, with a particular focus on practical approaches aligned with the “Strategy for Sustainable development of Vietnam’s Marine Economy to 2030, with a vision to 2045”.

The conference received 208 paper submissions, of which 102 were selected for presentations after a rigorous review process. Vietnam Maritime University contributed 11 papers and presentations, including one that was among the top five papers of the conference - a proof of the university's growing research capacity and international academic engagement.
The success of MSDI 2025 marks a significant step in strengthening international collaboration and promoting applied marine research, contributing to a sustainable future for the national maritime economy.
