Vietnam Maritime University welcomed the University of Hong Kong - Representative Office in Vietnam

On March 4th, Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) welcomed the Delegation from the University of Hong Kong - Representative Office in Vietnam, including Ms. Vu Thu Ha - Deputy Director and Mr. Le Dinh Hieu - Graduate Program Director.

Overall the warm welcome between the two Universities

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Duong - President of VMU introduced the University’s strengths in maritime training and its long-standing focus on international cooperation. Assoc. Prof. Pham Xuan Duong also highlighted key national directives, including Resolution 30-NQ/TW and the Government’s Action Program (Resolution 14/NQ-CP), and also the Decision 452/QĐ-TTg dated February 27th, 2025, by the Prime Minister on the Approval of the Master Plan for the Network of Higher Education and Teacher Training Institutions for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

Both sides discussed potential collaborations in student and faculty exchanges, joint training programs, and scientific research. Representatives from the University of Hong Kong expressed appreciation for VMU’s warm welcome and saw great potential for future cooperation.
