From October 9th to 11th, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Duong - President of Vietnam Maritime University, led the Delegation to the USA to attend the 24th Annual General Assembly of the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU). With the theme “Protecting Our Mariners - Promoting Our Industry - Providing for the future”, member universities and institutions of IAMU discussed IAMU’s future development, focusing on key fields such as economic, technology, maritime training and education.

In addition, Vietnam Maritime University also visited the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada to discuss potential collaboration opportunities including implementing articulation undergraduate programs, faculty and student exchange programs, and collaborative research projects from October 15th to 16th.
