On May 27, 2026, within the framework of the working visit to Finland of the Ministry of Construction’ Delegation led by Vice Minister Nguyen Xuan Sang to attend the Finland - Vietnam Forum on Green and Smart Ports and Maritime Innovation, Mr. Tran Viet Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation under the Ministry of Construction, on behalf of Vietnam Maritime University (VMU), exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Prof. Jari Multisilta, President of Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK), Finland.
Overview of the working session
The event was witnessed by representatives from Business Finland and the Embassy of Vietnam in Finland, reflecting the shared interest in promoting cooperation in education, research and innovation between Vietnam and Finland.
The MoU focuses on joint academic programmes, faculty member and student exchange, as well as research cooperation in maritime studies, logistics, technology and innovation. It is expected to create new opportunities for VMU and SAMK to strengthen cooperation and contribute to the development of high-quality human resources in the maritime sector.
