In the morning of May 21st, Vietnam Maritime University organized the international seminar on “Recent researches on Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering” under the theme of UK-ASEAN knowledge partnership programme. Attending the seminar were Dr. Le Quoc Tien – Vice President of Vietnam Maritime University; Directors of International Relations Department, Sciene & Technology Department; Deans of Shipbuilding Technology Faculty, Mechanical Engineering Faculty, Marine Engineering Faculty, leaders of Shipbuilding Sciene and Technology Institute, Institutes of Maritime Research Development, Post Education Institude, Maritime Sciene and Technology Institute, VMU Vocational College and many students of VMU .
The representatives from British Council Vietnam (BC) and Strathclyde University also took part in the seminar.
The workshop was an activity within the framework of the cooperation between the United Kingdom and ASEAN.
At the workshop , the scientists of Vietnam and the United Kingdom shared informations , exchanged practical experience, expressed in terms of theoretical perspectives , approaches and discussed the practical measures to improve efficiency on Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. The workshop opened new relationships for Vietnam Maritime University in the future.
