On September 24, 2026, Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) held a working session with Petrovietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) to review their cooperation in recent years and discuss potential areas for future collaboration.
The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Vice President of Vietnam Maritime University, with the participation of leaders and representatives from relevant departments and faculties. Representing PTSC was Mr. Tran Hoai Nam, Deputy General Director, together with representatives from its member companies.
Overview of the working session
At the meeting, the both sides exchanged views on human resource needs and industry requirements in the fields of oil and gas, liquefied gas, energy, and particularly offshore wind power. Vietnam Maritime University proposed strengthening cooperation with PTSC in human resource development, scientific research, technology transfer, and the joint resolution of technical challenges arising from practical operations
The two sides also discussed opportunities to further connect university education and training with the practical needs of enterprises, contributing to the development of highly qualified human resources for the maritime, energy, and offshore industries.
The working session further strengthened the cooperative relationship between VMU and PTSC, while opening up new opportunities for collaboration in training, research, technology transfer, and the development of human resources. The cooperation is expected to contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam's maritime economy and energy sectors in the new period./.
