On April 23rd, 2025, Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) participated in the 1st Online Meeting of the Asia Maritime & Fisheries Universities Forum (AMFUF), hosted by Korea Maritime & Ocean University. Representing VMU were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc - Vice President, along with representatives from the International Relations Department.
Overview of the meeting
The meeting welcomed delegates from 18 member universities, introducing the new AMFUF Secretary-General and presenting key initiatives, including the “Glocal University 30”. Key initiatives include the Formation of the “Sea-Global” Alliance; Expanding Joint Education Programs: 2+2; Introducing AMFUF Credit Exchange & Summer School; Supporting Maritime International Projects & Global Conferences.
VMU’s participation highlights its commitment to international integration and opens up opportunities for deeper collaboration in maritime education and research across the region and beyond./.
