Pham Xuan Duong, PhD - Vice president welcomed and worked with leaders of Tasmania University (Australia)

On September 12th, 2013, Tasmania University delegation, led by Professor Dev Ranmuthugala, Director of the National Centre for Ports and Shipping, AMC/Utas has visited and worked with Vietnam Maritime University. Along with the delegation were leaders of the International Relations Department; Institute of International Education.

In the framework of the visit, the two parties have introduced a number of programs focus on learning, teaching, organizational structures, ... discussion about potential off-shore programs (delivered at VIMARU) for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the areas of:
-          maritime engineering and hydrodynamics;  
-          ship operations including engineering and navigation;  
-          maritime and logistics management.
-          collaboration in short-courses and/or trainer trainings, especially in ship operations.
-          collaboration in PhD and MPhil programs
 
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dev Ranmuthugala thanked the warmly welcome of VMU for the delegation and wants to be associated with school education in the future.
