The 23rd Asia Maritime & Fisheries Universities Forum (AMFUF) 2025 was held from October 22 to 24, 2025, at the Maritime Institute of Jakarta (STIP), Indonesia, under the theme “Navigating Maritime Education in Asia: Resilience, Innovation and Collaboration,” aiming to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and joint research.
Representing Vietnam Maritime University, Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc led the Delegation to the AMFUF 2025 and delivered a keynote speech emphasizing resilience, innovation, and collaboration in maritime education and training.
Overview of the AMFUF 2025 at the Maritime Institute of Jakarta
During the Representative Meeting, Vice President Nguyen Minh Duc introduced VMU as the host of AMFUF 2026 in Hai Phong City, coinciding with the University’s 70th anniversary. Additionally, VMU and KMOU exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding and a Memorandum of Agreement, strengthening cooperation in articulation programs, research, faculty, and student exchange programs.
