(1) Overview:
The object of Economic Management major is to train economic reseachers and managers with high qualifications in economic methodology and practical management knowledge, capable of research, ability to diagnose and solve academic problems and instruct others on doing academic economic management research.
(2) Program Objectives:
Political qualities:
To train masters in economic management with solid political qualities, master the basic principles of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, the Party's lines and State policies and laws; develop a good attitude towards the community, love the values of life, love the country; have a high sense of responsibility towards work and life; professional ethics.
Speciality
Having methodology and research ability, capable of detecting and solving new problems regarding economic management in both theory and practice.
Ability to apply knowledge and academic research methods to the practice of micro and macro management.
Have critical thinking and in-depth theoretical knowledge of economic management to be able to develop new knowledge and continue research at the doctoral level.
Able to participate in teaching, training and consulting work in the field of economics.
Ability to detect and forecast, organize and solve problems in the fields of: economics, management of administrative and non-business units, business units following the trend of international economic integration.
- Ability to use foreign languages to solve problems related to educated expertise

(4) Career prospects
Graduated students with an application-oriented Master's degree majoring in Economic Management can well take on the following job positions:
- Lecturers in universities, colleges, institutes, research agencies on management of economic fields;
- Staffs, experts, leaders of state management agencies in charge of economy, state administrative agencies;
- Staffs, leaders of departments, agencies, enterprises and companies;
- Continue to register for the doctoral degree in Economic Management or other close disciplines in domestic or/and abroad.
