Research Institutes & Centers are responsible for conducting scientific research, technology transfer, consulting, design, and testing; organizing formal transition courses, second-degree programs, and other training activities as regulated; and engaging in production and labor activities. Their areas of expertise are broad and diverse, including but not limited to: Maritime economics; Navigation Automation; Research, design, and experiment ship engines (especially engines using multiple types of fuels, biofuel, etc.); Naval architecture and shipbuilding technology; Ocean engineering; Hydraulic Engineering; Marine environment, climate change, renewable energy; Logistics and supply chain management.
